What If The Weight Loss Product Youre Buying Is Poison?

These days, obese people suffer poor health not only from obesity related problems but also from the side effects of weight loss products that they use. If you do not exercise caution when buying a weight loss product, it can be harmful for your health. Doing your due diligence and arming yourself with the correct knowledge is essential, especially when it comes to weight loss.

Before buying any weight loss product, make sure that you have researched it thoroughly. During your research, you should try to get as much information as possible about the product, its good and bad effects, the ingredients that it is made up of etc, as these things can seriously affect your health.

Therefore in this article we shall discuss the role of the liver and why it is so important that you maintain the health of your liver and do not poison it with weight loss pills and potions which may cause it nothing but harm.

The liver is the bodys second largest organ (after the skin). It is situated at the top right hand corner of the abdomen with the stomach to the left, the right kidney below and the large intestine lies across the front.

The liver produces bile essential for fat breakdown and to detoxify the pollutants that enter our bloodstream. The function of the liver is to cleanse and filter the blood and in doing so remove all toxic matter, i.e. chemicals (including supplements) drugs, dead cells, micro-organisms and all other debris.

Due to the stresses of our modern lives the liver must work ever harder as we are exposed to pollutants in the air, the junk food we eat as part of our western diet, artificial sweeteners, damaged fats, pesticides and chemically altered supplements. The medicines we take i.e. pain relievers, birth control pills, HRT etc.

If the liver is not functioning properly and filtration does not occur toxins will remain in the blood and cause numerous problems ranging from headaches, inflammation, acne, autoimmune diseases, chronic fatigue and general poor health and a loss of well being.

The liver is the main fat burning organ in the body and regulates the metabolism of fat and carbohydrate. A healthy liver will remove fat in the form of cholesterol and pump it into the intestines where it will be carried away by the bowel. Therefore a healthy liver and a diet high in fibre is essential for healthy, ongoing and natural weight loss.

Be kind to your liver, eat your greens, try to consume at least 2 litres of water each day and a healthy liver will reward you and assist you in your quest to lose weight naturally and without the need for synthetic pills and potions.

Why Nutrition and Plastic Surgery go together?

For many of us, the reality of living a lifestyle that allows us to eat 5 small-well balanced meals a day, exercise 3-5 times a week and get the recommended eight hours of sleep a night isn’t possible, more like the impossible. But if you are considering plastic surgery here are some reasons why living a healthier lifestyle will help you prepare and recover from surgery and achieve the body you’ve always wanted. ÂWhy Nutrition and Plastic Surgery go together?Do you ever think about why you eat? This is an important question to ask yourself, especially if you are looking to make healthy lifestyle changes, which can greatly improve the way you feel and your appearance. The modern diet lacks the recommended daily allowances of essential vitamins and minerals required to support the body in healing efficiently and effectively. That’s why it’s important to eat with a purpose not just to settle an appetite. To promote excellent results and optimal healing you can do this by eating and supplementing your diet with the following foods and vitamins.ÂMeat and more meat!ÂProtein is not just an essential nutrient, but the largest component in the body after water. Amino acids, the building blocks of protein, are essential in building and repairing various parts of the body. They also travel around the body as hormones, red blood cells and enzymes. In order for the body to restore and repair tissues that have been damaged by surgery you want to make sure that you are eating enough protein in your meals prior to and after surgery. Eating proteins prior to surgery will help build your immune system and red blood cells, both, which are fundamental to your recovery after surgery. Here is a list of high quality lean proteins:ÂAnimal Proteins Chicken Turkey Fish Eggs Low-Fat Dairy ÂPlant Proteins Soybeans (also tofu) Nuts Beans Whole grains Seeds ÂH2OÂThe human body is comprised of 60-75% water and every system in your body relies on water; which includes your digestive system, metabolic hormones and skin. After surgery many patients may encounter constipation due to the anesthesia and the narcotics taken after surgery. Water consumption performs an important role in digestion by helping the body eliminate solids, toxins, impurities and bacteria from our body. In turn, this helps speed up the healing process after surgery and release any uncomfortable bloated feeling that may occur. Not only does water keep us healthy and remove toxins from our body; it contains zero calories, is an excellent appetite suppressant and helps metabolize stored fat. If you are looking to lose a couple extra pounds and find something that will help you control your appetite, water is your answer.ÂMany people don’t realize it, but the amount of water you drink each day has a direct effect on how healthy your skin is. Drinking enough water can help keep your skin be plumper, moister, younger looking, and free from acne and blemishes. Unfortunately the skin is one of the first organs on our body to suffer from a lack of regular water intake. Not getting enough water each day can result in dry skin problems, acne, and premature lines and wrinkles. However, for many of us we still struggle from acne, premature lines and wrinkles. If this sounds like you a TCA peel can be very effective in removing scars and wrinkles and help increase collagen production for healthier younger skin. ÂVitaminsÂAs talked about early, most of us eat foods that are deficient in vitamins and minerals needed for a healthy body. One way to combat this is by taking a multi-vitamin to ensure that we are getting the nutrients needed for tissue repair, normal hormone production and metabolic functioning. Below is a list if supplements that will help prepare the body for surgery and for recovery:ÂStart approximately 2 weeks PRIOR to surgery: Multivitamin: High potency, Antioxidant-rich, mineral-rich vegetable source.2 tabs per day Vitamin C: Promotes wound healing, protects against bruising; antioxidant protection. 1000 mg per day. Zinc/Glutamine: High tissue concentrations of these nutrients prior to surgery aids in faster healing time and in the rebuilding of tissues. Zinc: 1 tsp. twice a day, Glutamine: 1 tsp. twice a day Post Surgery (make sure to get Dr. Pousti’s approval prior to starting any of these) CoQ 10: Stimulates cell growth 1 tab twice a day Glutamine: Helps prevent tissue/protein catabolism (breakdown) after surgery1 tsp. twice a day Arginine: Helps in wound healing and stimulates collagen.1 tab three times per day Vitamin C: Essential vitamin that aids in wound healing and collagen.2 capsules per day Glucosamine: Glucosamine is an important building block needed by the body to manufacture specialized molecules required for wound healing.1 tab twice per day Arnica 30X: Homeopathic; helps reduce discomfort, bruising, and swelling of soft tissue. To avoid constipation, WATER, eat fruit, and supplement with Milk of Magnesia, or Smooth Move Tea, or laxative of choice. ÂExerciseÂMany researchers have confirmed that those who exercise regularly before surgery not only look and feel better but recover much quicker then those who don’t exercise. It’s no surprise that those who have a healthy lifestyle do better in the long run after certain types of plastic surgery such as liposuction. Liposuction is meant for body contouring, not weight loss. The patients that have the best results are the ones who are close to their reasonable body weight. Creating good lifestyle habits before surgery will help ensure that you maintain your results by decreasing your chances of gaining weight back. Another benefit of exercise besides the cardiovascular benefits is exercise, consisting of both weights and aerobics will activate and rejuvenate the skin, while improving circulation. This increased circulation helps deliver nutrients to skin cells, wiping away damaging toxins as well as produce an excellent condition for collagen production. Ocular Rosacea Should Be Treated Immediately

Ocular rosacea is rosacea of the eyes. Rosacea (pronounced row-ZAY-sha) is a facial disorder characterized by symptoms of redness of the nose, cheeks, chin, or forehead. In more severe cases, this redness can develop into bumps and pimples. (Rosacea is not acne, as the pimples of rosacea do not have the whiteheads or blackheads of acne.)

Ocular rosacea symptoms are found in almost half of all rosacea sufferers. Symptoms affecting the eyes include redness, burning or stinging, gritty feeling, sensitivity to light, or scales or crusts.

Symptoms can also include red or bloodshot eyes, tearing, or blurry vision.

Treatment depends on the nature of the symptoms. In most cases, some type of lash hygiene is required. This includes complete removal of makeup, a washing of the lashes to remove crusts or scales, and perhaps a hot compress to loosen particles and reduce sties and bumps on the eyelids.

In more severe cases, there is a possibility of corneal damage. Here the treatment includes anti-bacterial or anti-fungal eye drops. Steroid drops can also be prescribed to reduce inflammation.

As in general rosacea, oral antibiotics are often prescribed. It is not because rosacea is an infection (it is not and cannot be spread to others), but because the antibiotics have anti-inflammatory properties that help to minimize the symptoms of rosacea.

It is very important that if you suspect you have any of these symptoms of ocular rosacea that you seek medical help immediately. Permanent damage to the corneas of the eyes is possible.

Consequently, the cure for rosacea is unknown as well. The word sprout is itself, inspiring.

As for the food value, there is nothing to beat the sprouts. They are indeed the wonder foods. They are most fresh and nutritious. They have a pleasant look and appeal to the eye.

Eating sprouted food, the digestibility as well as the nutritional quality improves. You need to make it the regular part of your diet. It preserves the health of the skin and enhances its glow.

In acne conditions, taking sprouts as part of your regular diet helps the process of its healing, and rejuvenation of the skin.

The best part of the sprouting exercise is that it does not involve hard efforts. Sprouted foods are very popular with those practicing natural medications. To many ancient races, sprouts were the regular part of the diet. Sprouts possess all essential minerals and vitamins.

All grains and legumes can be sprouted. For example, wheat, millet pearl, maize, fenugreek seeds, coriander seeds, muskmelon seeds, Bengal gram, groundnut and legume green.

The taste of sprouted food grains is very good. They are a big source of vitamins, enzymes, anti-oxidants fiber and protein. The regular use of sprouted products helps to maintain the internal purity of the system, and therefore it is unlikely that you have long term skin eruptions, acne conditions or any types of skin disorders.

The best part of the sprout project is that they can be grown anywhere with very little investment! It is easy to grow the sprouts in trays. Soak the seeds overnight. Select a flat dish. You also get sprout growing trays in the market.

Spread a 2 layer soil and sprinkle seeds on the top of soil. Cover them with four layers of damp newspaper. Then cover the top of the tray with plastic wrap. You find the sprouts begin to lift the plastic cover. That is after about 3-4 days.

Remove the newspaper. Let the tray receive the daylight but not the direct sunlight. The layer of soil dries out quickly. Water it two times a day. You will have your sprout harvest ready, within 8 to 10 days.

You need to wash the sprouts thoroughly, and get the seed coat removed. Store the excess quantity in the refrigerator when they are ready to eat. Pour them in tight sealing bags, so that they remain flavorful and crisp. If necessary, rinse them in cold water daily.

Apart from the health benefits of the sprouts, the cost benefit is also very important. You get the quantity at least 4 times more than the original seeds. You can judge the popularity of the sprouts, among the health-conscious public. You get ready made sprouts in many departmental stores.

Some sprouts do not need cooking. Sprinkle a little salt and lime-juice on it and your food, containing the essential vitamins is ready!br

Here are some great tips for sensitive skin. ÂAre your skin prone to irritation and inflammation? Do you always have to be careful of the skincare products and make up that you apply on your face? Does your skin flare out like rashes, redness or inflammation when exposed to the sun? If you do have such encounter, you are likely to have sensitive skin. Skin sensitivity can mean different thing for different people. For one group, it may be related to allergies to food, or products that they apply that caused the skin to flare up, itch, redness or inflammation. For others, it can be related to allergy to cold or hot weather condition, exposure to the sun or acne condition relating to sensitive skin. Here are my advice to you to help you managed your skin better. 1. Water Make sure that you drink enough water throughout the day. The recommended is 6 – 8 glasses of water a day. Water is essential as it hydrates your body and allow the nutrients to flow throughout your cells for cell renewal. Water is also important for you to flush out the toxins from your body and your lymph nodes. 2. Avoid staying out in the sun You need to understand your skin well and take necessary precaution to prevent further triggers to your skin. If your skin reacts negatively to the sun, limit your exposure to the UV rays and apply sunblock to protect your skin. Apply sunblock everyday before you leave the home as the UV rays will cause further skin damage and breakdown of collagen resulting in fine lines and wrinkles. Reapply sunblock when necessary. 3. Vitamin C Vitamin C helps to build up your immune system and improve your collagen and tissue repair and give your a healthy body. It also aids in wound healing and promote healthy skin, gum and teeth. 4. Vitamin E Vitamin E is an antioxidants that helps to protect our skin against free radicals. The free radicals can accelerate the breakdown of our skin cells resulting in damage of our skin. Taking sufficient of the antioxidant, it can help to prevent or delay the process of skin ageing. 5. Pimple When you have pimples on your face, apply pimple cream on the affected area to speed up the healing. Do not use your hand or fingers to touch the pimple area as our hands are dirty and the bacteria on our hand can further aggravate the pimples and worsen the condition. 6. Keep Your Face Clean Wash your face regularly to keep your skin clean. However do not overdo, as if you washes your face too often, you will remove away the protective layer of our skin and your skin will become dry or more prone to more problems. 7. Moisturizer A good moisturizer is very important to hydrate our skin and always retain its moisture. Always apply sufficient moisturizer to keep skin moist and hydrated. For sensitive skin, it will be safe to use a water based moisturizer instead of oil based. Sensitive skin may be a little difficult to handle but if you take the proper care, you will be able to maintain a good healthy skin. Be sure of what you apply on your face and whenever in doubt, check with the experts for solution.br

Honey For Aging Skin Rejuvenation

Posted in Uncategorized on December 18th, 2009 by admin – 1 Comment

br
Why do people suggest honey for aging skin? There are several reasons, actually. Of course the effectiveness depends on the other ingredients. Although it is possible to make a mask in your own kitchen, its not very comfortable and it is difficult to remove. If you want to be satisfied, leave it to the experts. High quality masks and nighttime creams work best. Some of them even contain the best variety of honey.

It has been used since ancient times to speed healing and prevent or treat infection. Only recently have researchers been able to identify the reasons for its effectiveness. Some varieties contain antioxidant and anti-bacterial enzymes. The manuka variety has been identified as the one have the most active enzymes.

Manuka can be dehydrated to a powdered form without reducing its activity. The powder can then be added to moisturizing emollients and nourishing extracts to create creams that soften, smooth and reduce the effects of time.

What is the importance of manuka honey for aging skin? Free radical molecules with the skins layers cause damage to the cells and degrade the elastic fibers. This leads to wrinkling and sagging.

Antioxidants neutralize free radicals and go to work repairing damage that has already occurred. Cells and fibers deteriorate over time and are replaced by new ones. We usually call that rejuvenation. Manuka supports the skins natural rejuvenation processes.

The antibacterial activity is also important. Women that suffered from acne during their youth often see it reappear during menopause. Blemishes of all kinds are caused by bacteria. Blemishes are really slight infections. Manuka prevents bacteria build up. It is beneficial for treating acne and helps prevent blemishes.

In addition to manuka honey for aging skin, other beneficial ingredients include avocado extract and Shea butter. Avocado extract is scientifically proven to stimulate the production of new elastic fibers. Shea butter softens and smoothes, while reducing age spots, scars and blemishes, as well as wrinkles.

Those three ingredients combined would do a great deal. But, one company has gone even farther. Their nighttime cream contains lots of other antioxidants and a special protein complex called CYNERGY TK.

Research has shown that protein bound to small amounts of copper and zinc is effective for regenerating tissue and increasing the production of elastic fibers. CYNERGY TK contains that type of protein. It has been shown to increase the thickness of the skins outer layer, which results in a reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. If you use a cream containing CYNERGY TK, avocado extract, Shea butter and manuka honey for aging skin, you are bound to see a big difference in your appearance in a relatively short period of time.

There are lots of products on the market to choose from and many of them will do more harm than good. They contain common allergens, irritants and toxins. Why not do something good for your skins health? Using manuka honey for aging skin is just one of the things that you can do.

Oily Hair Greasy Hair Treatment

br
If your hair is oily, you have a set of problems that belong to you alone. On the otherhand, you just might learn that having oily hair isnt as bad as you thought. There are some plusses that you might not know about. Excess sebum on the scalp is the primary cause of oily hair. Care for oily hair targets the accumulation of oil and dandruff on the scalp and minimizes it, preventing the hair from becoming limp and greasy.

What Causes Oily Hair?

Oily hair can be a pain and is a common complaint among persons who have acne problems. Excessive sebum not only contributes to the formation of acne but also leaves the hair greasy and unattractive.

Some people produce a lot more oil than others. There is nothing you can do about it other than frequent and regular shampooing with a mild shampoo. The best time to shampoo your hair is first thing in the morning. This way your hair is fresh all day. If you shampoo at night, your oil glands will have an 8-hour start on you and your hair could look quite oily come lunch time.

Not only does oily hair look dirty, it also has an odor. People who frequently have oily hair often are not aware of this. You can teach them by telling them to wash their hands, dry them, and smell them. After that, get them to run their clean hands through their hair and rub their scalp. Have them smell their hands again. They will then see what you mean.

Natural hair oil can change your hairs appearance and behavior. Fine hair is especially effected by oil and tends to have a wild appearance when its oily. Places on your head that have cowlicks (such as at the crown of your head, or at your front hairline) become less manageable and stick up when they are oily. The oil makes your hair stick together and therefore causes curly or wavy hair to look curlier or wavier. Oiliness also makes then hair look even thinner by clumping your hair and making your scalp visible.

Treatment for Oily Hair

*The key to controlling oily hair is to remove the sebum adequately from the scalp. Many persons mistakenly think that hair shampoo is to wash the hair and not the scalp. Actually, shampoo is designed to clean the scalp and beautify the hair.
* If you have to fix oily hair at short notice then just rub in some talcum powder to the hair roots. Make sure that you wash it off later on.

These are a few tips that should help your hair from looking oily and preventing oil build up. It is not easy and you will have to work at it.

Preventing Oily Hair

Washing your hair every day strips it of natural oils and coats it with unnecessary chemicals and residue, leaving it limp and under-nourished. Find a shampoo that suits your hair type and wash every other day./pbr

Find the Right Natural Face Moisturizer

Dry skin seems to be a very common problem as people get older. It is also one that tends to bother then because they can see lines and wrinkles forming. Many people look for a natural face moisturizer to help them change what is taking place. This can occur when a person is in their 30s or 40s. You can have healthy skin that glows regardless of your age though if you are using the right ingredients.

Do you know why the skin becomes dry as a person ages?

There are certain proteins in the body called collagen and elastin. They are responsible for helping the skin to remain healthy. They are also going to help the skin retain moisture. As a person gets older though, these proteins arent manufactured as much by the body. When that begins to occur, dryness and other signs of aging start to emerge.

While it does make sense that a natural face moisturizer will help you to take care of the situation, you need to realize that they arent all made the same. Some of them have a good feeling to them and others of them dont. However, that isnt the right way to evaluate how good they are for you. Some that do feel good for your skin may actually be damaging it.

This is a common scenario when it comes to Mineral Oil. This is a very common ingredient found in natural face moisturizer products but you must avoid using it. When you apply it, the skin will feel smooth and that can give the impression that it does work well. However, it is going to clog your pores and as a result, you will be more prone to acne occurring. Your skin will also have a very hard time removing toxins and they will result in the skin aging.

There are some types of oils though that do help your skin so you want a natural face moisturizer that offers them. Take some time to find out more about such oils. You can even visit my website to learn more about them. You definitely want to find a natural face moisturizer that promotes the generating of more collagen and elastin in addition to those beneficial natural oils.

I use a natural ingredient called Cynergy TK to do just that for my skin. It comes to us from New Zealand and has been tested on humans. It has been proven to promote the generation of collagen and elastin, help the skin to retain moisture, and to help the skin become more elastic.

Why Use the Infrared Heat Sauna

The rise in more and more people using the infrared heat sauna and the many benefits that these portable infrared saunas cause to the skin are reason enough to call this product a successful one. The promising results that people have experienced in the past after using infrared rays have encouraged many others to try this out this popular new method. What differentiates far infrared rays from the traditional sauna is the method of heating the body without heating everything around it. There are many health benefits that are associated with infrared heat sauna and the primary one is that it is extremely beneficial for skin.

What infrared heat rays do is remove impurities from skin that is caused by perspiration and pollution. The heat and the dust close pores and as a result of this we get acne, pimples and blemishes on our skin. With the saunas heat radiant therapy, it removes harsh chemicals from our face to keep it healthy and radiant. The skin is only one benefit. This infrared heat sauna is even considered beneficial for losing weight (just ask Dr. Oz) and removing stress and anxiety. The far infrared rays help the person in relaxing their tired muscles which erases their stress, fatigue and anxiety completely.

Many people dont believe the weight loss is possible, but its true. The heat rays penetrate though the fat cells and help in reducing excess calories from the body. If you devote thirty minutes of your time in the infrared heat sauna device then you will not have to undergo any other kind of exercise, as spending thirty minutes in the infrared is equal to thirty minutes of jogging or rowing. If you spend an hour in the sauna each day, just relaxing or reading a book, you can burn over 4000 calories a week. That is a pound a week while you are detoxifying and beautifying your body.

Whats more is that it helps in improving the cardiovascular system of your body. The radiant heat therapy allows the heart to pump more blood and improves blood circulation. This means that you dont have to do any other cardiovascular exercise to improve your heart health.Keep in mind though, that the one thing the sauna cant do is build muscle. So, youll still need to work on your muscles as part of your overall health program.
